TITLE:  Bowling Equipment Repairer NA-4819-09

 

CATEGORY:  Regular                       SALARY: $11.13 per hour

 

LOCATION:  Bowling Center

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Repairs or replaces computer components for the Mendez Pinsetter system.  Performs troubleshooting to calibrate, adjust and repair computerized pinsetters according to the highly technical manufacturer’s guides.  Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment referring to schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams and service manuals.  Uses electrical test equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, continuity testers and test lamps to trace electrical circuits malfunction and component defects.  Conditions, maintains and repairs bowling pins and cracks and chips in urethane lanes.  Maintains required records and reports; initiates request for spare parts, supplies, and hand equipment; performs general housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of assigned spaces. Performs other mechanical and electrical work to bowling facility as time and capabilities permit.  Provides technical and administrative supervision over Laborer (Bowling Facility Maintenance) positions.  Responsible for section and assignment of new employees, scheduling and approving leave performance ratings.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have experience in repairing computer components and the ability to troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust and repair computerized pinsetters.  Must have a working knowledge of super magnets and an understanding of fluid dynamics.  Must have the ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams and service manuals.  Must have skill in the use of standard electrical test equipment such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, continuity testers and test lamps to trace electrical circuits malfunction and component defects.  Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds.  Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, climb, stand, and work in awkward positions.  Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
